About Dr. Boyle
- Dr. Jacob Boyle is a licensed psychologist serving the Chico community through his practice, Oak Glen Psychological Services. With a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, Dr. Boyle specializes in psychological evaluations for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, and Intellectual Disability.
- Since moving back to Chico in 2020, Dr. Boyle has provided comprehensive mental health services at Oroville Hospital, offering psychotherapy to patients across the lifespan and participation in developing both their psychological assessment at the outpatient clinic and behavioral health program at the hospital’s skilled nursing facility. His clinical experience spans diverse settings, from forensic mental health services with justice-involved individuals to assessment of complex mental health disorders in the community setting.
- Dr. Boyle's approach is informed by his training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and therapeutic assessment. He is committed to providing culturally-sensitive, evidence-based care tailored to each individual's unique needs.
- Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Boyle has served as an adjunct professor and maintains active involvement in professional organizations including the American Psychological Association. He previously served as Vice President of the Butte County Behavioral Health Advisory Board.
- Dr. Boyle lives in Chico with his wife, three children, and their australian shepherd, where he enjoys being part of the local community he serves.
